fantastic Mr fox

FANTASTIC MR FOX: MOVIE REVIEW
On a hill above the valley there was a wood. In the wood there was a huge tree. Under tree there was a hole, were inside lived Mr, Mrs Fox and their four small foxes. They were located near the three farms. The main characters on this novel are, Mr fox, Mrs fox, farm Boggies, farm Bunce, farmer Bean, Badger and four foxes. In order to feed his family, he used to steal from the cruel, brutish farmers named, Boggis, Bunce and bean every night. Finally tired of being continuously tricked by Mr Fox. The farmers attempt to capture and kill him. The foxes escape in time by excavating deep into the ground. The farmers decided to wait outside the hole for the foxes to appear. Unable to leave the hole, fox and his family begin to starve. As clever he is he compose plan to steal food from farmers. He did that by tunneling into ground leading into farmer’s houses. Along this race he then met with his fellow species (badgers, weasels,  rats, moles, rabbits. worked together and steal from the three farmers and they all lived together  happily as big family inside the tunnel. Three farmers were still waiting and armed outside the hole for them to emerge.

BOOK V.S MOVIE
The book and the movie reveal different stories. The movie starts at a moment in time before Dahl’s book with Mr and Mrs Fox. But they are domesticated upon learning that they are going to have a child. Also that later on, the book states that Mr and Mrs Fox had four children while in the movie they had one son and the character of Kristofferson was introduced as ash`s cousin. In the movie, Mr Fox was a newspaper man before he broke his promises to his wife, but the book just shows him as the trickiest and smart man who steals to provide for his family. The book has parts of terrible shovels and tractors, while the movie shows only the part of terrible tractors. The ending of the book and movie are different, in particular the movie was not effective of the book and also did not present an accurate interpretation of Dahl’s classic since they both display different stories. Movie reveals it all while the book does not reveal all.

RECOMMENDATIONS

I did enjoy the movie, excluding the fact that the movie has the stop motion animation; it is quiet an interesting film. The most part that I enjoyed was when Kristofferson was defending ash from badger’s son. He intentionally beat him. Though Ash pretended to have it all under control. I would recommend this movie to adults because the movie features a lot of scheming, violence and strong words. It will only make children to think that it is okay to steal from other people .

barriers prohibiting ict integration in SA schools

Some barriers intrinsic to the teachers and in south Africa these intrinsic factors are further complicated by the nations unique historical and cultural dynamic .ministerial committee on teachers education, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, carry out their assigned duties without the requisite content or pedagogic knowledge .south African schools have changed little since the end of apartheid in 1994 .ICT usage, in general are fairly well studied in developed countries.
Main factors prohibiting the successful integration of ICT in SA SCHOOLS

.lack of teacher confidence
Much of research proposes that this is a major barrier to the uptake of ICT by teachers in the classroom .Balanskat et al (2006)found that limitation in teachers ICT in classroom knowledge makes them feel anxious about using ICT in the classroom thus not confident to use it in their teaching.

Resistance to change and negative attitude
.at broader level, Becta(2004) argued that resistance to change is an important barrier to teachers use of technologies in education watson an Australian researcher (1999) argued that integrating the new technologies into educational setting requires change and different teachers will handle this change differently. Attitude to change is important because teacher beliefs influence what they do in classroom.
Lack of teacher competence
.in Australian research, Newhouse (2002) found that many teachers lacked the knowledge and skills to use computers and were not enthusiastic about the changes and integration of supplementary learning associated with bringing computers into their teaching practices
.current research has shown that the level of this barrier differs from country to country ,in the developing countries ,research reported that teachers lack technological competence and adoption of ICT(Pelgrum;2001;Al-Oteawi;2002)
Lack of accessibility
.various research studies indicates several reasons for the lack of access to technologies occurred ,in Sicilias study (2005)teachers complained about how difficult it was to always have access to computers.
School-level barriers
Lack of time:several recent studies indicate that many teachers have competence and confidence in using computers in classroom ,but they still make little use of technologies because they do not have enough time .(Al-Alwani;2005;Becta,2004;Beggs;2000;Schoepp;2005;Sicelia 2005.)

Lack of technical support
.without both good technical support in the classroom and whole-school resources, teachers cannot be expected to overcome the barriers preventing them from using ICT (Lewis; 2003).

My personal experiences about my own schooling year.

During my school  years , I was never exposed to any technology in  school, I grew up in the rural areas also it is underdeveloped  called Ga- Molapo village situated at zebediela in Limpopo, during my school years it was all about copying from the chalkboard, learners were not allowed to use any form of technology. Only admission office had two laptops and photocopy machine although it was for office use only. Learners were not allowed to touch them only our teachers were allowed to. My school years were amazing because I never repeated a class till I completed my metric in 2015. During my matric year in was better because we used to rely on hand-outs that teachers photocopied for us at least it was simple for us to study.
However, even in the most poorly resourced schools, it is important that learning ICT skills takes in a context that is meaningful to the learners .the overall aim is to enrich learning for all pupils and to ensure that teachers develop confidence and competence to use ICT in the effective ways.

2. In preparation of our school carnival event we did various processes .for example , process of recycling paper cups and tins ,we then renewed them by decoration. Through this event i have benefited and learned a lot. I think it helped me to be able to express my thoughts and talents as well since we created many things for the success of our carnival. I am a shy person but through this event my shyness was at hold as we performed many processes , we use i have learned a lot, through the combinations of our skills and knowledges of my group members. Hard work pays dividends as we got all the marks for our presentation.did presentation on our carnival, well it was easy as i never thought, because i did well with presentation , i was free and comfortable spoke from my heart what i know. And i am glad that i was part of presentation .
3.data process . a sequence of operations performed on data ,especially by a computer, in order to extract information ,reorder files ,etc.

Reflection on carnival day
For this project we were given lot of time to prepare it. As a group we all worked hard starting from the screech with preparations and planning. We all gathered together and cooperate with each other combining our skills and knowledge’s of how are we going to come up with a very genuine things. In preparation of our school carnival event we had several meetings discussing and suggesting better ideas, even if some of the days were not good, we had problems of group members having conflict in regardless of the ideas but we worked as a team till things got together without no one being offended.

as a team then collected some of materials that we needed when creating and designing .we collected cans, plastic glasses, plastics, balloons ,boxes , wools, paints, and papers. All this apparatus mentioned we used them to create some games and rewards for the young ones. And then we designed three types of games. Firstly we came up with egg and spoon game. This game is very simple and does not confuse children as what this game need only two items, spoon and egg to play it. And at the same time it improve fine motor skills, eye hand coordination and concentration of the child. Secondly we came up with cards and cups game which involves paper cups and small cards to play it .the young ones really liked it. Since there were cards that written many activities as we swap the cup with that written cards inside the child  was to choose the cup reveal it and do what is inside the cup .e.g. if the card is written jump ,he or she supposed to do so , if dance he should dance. They really enjoyed this games as children loves physical activities that involves rubbing, jumping, dancing. And lastly we designed bag bean game. We used holed box and balls. So that children can use those balls to throw the balls towards those holes. They loved it as well .this game helps children to develop language and measurement skills.

They arrived in the campus around 9:30. That’s where the game begins. Children were very happy confused at the same time attracted by very beautiful things they were seeing not knowing were to go to. But at the end they settled down and stickled at one place.
